White Rose

Just made a new batch of White Rose, this is a very feminine bar of soap with the fragrance of, you guessed it, roses.

This bar was made especially for my Mum who only likes using plain white soap, but I just couldn’t resist adding the extra touch of pink:) but she doesn't seem to mind just the small amount of colour and I think it adds the finishing touch to this bar.

It contains Macadamia oil and Mango Butter, both excellent emollients, making it a really nice bar to keep your skin feeling soft and moisturised.

  1. That is a really beautiful soap. What is the colour made with?

  2. Thank you Ambra, I used pink clay, it normally is a paler pink than this, I must have been a bit heavy handed this time:) I'll probably make it a bit lighter next batch.

  4. Amber's right! Beautiful colours! And beautiful swirling. How do you get the rose scent... rose water? EO? The EO is sooooo expensive here, I can't really afford it!

  7. Hey Magdalena, lovely Rose soap!
I actually do use rosewater for my rose soaps. It's not pricey here and I have made rose soaps without it and can tell that the rose scent is less intense. Truely. Jen, I also use Rose Geranium and Rosewood and add a little Palma Rosa and Patchouli for anchoring

  9. Thank you so much ladies, I really appreciate it:) I use Essential oil's Jen and they are expensive here too, not much profit in it at all, unless you are a large soap making business, which I'm not, but what can you do when you love making them LOL.
I don't think I'd use rose water as I'm not sure if the rose fragrance would last and as you'd know, rose otto EO is really out at $188 for just 6mls, phew! I use Rose Geranium and Palmarosa and you still get a lovely rose fragrance, just don't be heavy handed with the Palmarosa, the first batch I made I used too much and it was awful, you only need a little:)

  10. Wow... How did you get the soap so white? It looks so clean and beautiful! All I know is sweet almond makes somewhat white bars, but I've never had enough luck. :P

  11. Thank you Between Friends:) that mix of oils always seem to give me a nice white bar, I used cold pressed light olive oil in it and that helps.
