Desert Flower

I love the smell of this one, Desert Flower is fragranced with sweet orange, grapefruit, jasmine and geranium essential oils, it's a very soft and feminine aroma.  I don't normally use sparkles on my soaps, but I thought I'd try something new, I wanted the yellow a bit brighter, but sadly it faded a bit during the curing, I think I'll have another go at this one, but add a bit more yellow next time, but I'm liking the sparkles, what do you think?  sparkles or no sparkles?

Secret Garden

I thought I'd share another one of the soaps I made for my Daughter a few months ago. You won't find this one on my website, you can only buy it on my Daughter's website, where it's even on special at the moment, or I sell it at the markets.

I had it listed on Etsy, with a few other different soaps, one of them was the Mandarin and Vanilla you might remember from a few months ago. Anyhow I ended up taking them all off yesterday, because after 4 months I didn't sell any at all, very disapointing:( so no more listing on Etsy for this little black duck, I'll leave it to the experts:)

With Secret Garden you can close your eyes and imagine you're showering under a waterfall in a tropical rainforest, it's sooooo relaxing!

The aroma of tropical and citrus fruits will fill your senses, fresh squeezed oranges, pineapples, bananas, coconut and fresh kiwi fruit will make your mouth water, very tempting:)

The little leaves on the soap is where I got my inspiration from, isn't nature wonderful? they look so pretty.

Surprise! and the second winner is....

I mentioned yesterday I had a hard time deciding on the winner and I really would have liked to give you all a free natural soap, sorry can’t afford that :o) but I was in the shower last night enjoying one of my soap bars when I thought "why not have a second prize?"

So I’d like to give away one more luxury soap to one other person I felt really deserved it, and that person is Pam. Pam came up with 4 great suggestions, a couple I think I will use for Father’s Day coming up. Congratulations Pam, I will be posing you your free organic soap shortly.

Thanks again everyone for your suggestions it is really nice to think that there is actually some people reading my posts.

Stay tuned; I loved getting the feedback so much I think I’ll have to think of some more ways to give away some handmade soap in the near future. Have a great day everyone!

and the winner is..........

It was a hard decision deciding on the winner of our two handmade soap bars, but after much thought I decided to give our Free Organic Soaps to Kirsty from Hamperific.

The reason I chose this entry is because Kirsty hit on my whole philosophy of my business and that is to offer people all natural chemical-free products, in fact that is the reason my business started.

Kirsty mentioned that she herself had problems in the past with infections caused by bath products and thought that this could be a reason people don’t use bath bombs as much anymore, this is one reason I hadn’t thought to consider.

I think one of the causes of this concern is the artificial fragrances and other chemicals contained in many bath products. You can be confident that you won’t find any synthetic fragrances or chemicals in any of our Bath Bombs or All Natural Soaps.

A few people mentioned that cost could be a factor and I realize there are lots of cheaper Bath Bombs and Handmade Soaps available that are made with cheaper ingredients and artificial fragrances and colours, but my aim is to provide the best quality all natural products that I can, at the least expensive price I can offer.

My bath bombs contain Certified Organic Shea Butter, Goat’s Milk, Sweet Almond oil, French argyle clay and of course pure essential oils, so they are wonderful for your skin.

I’d like to thank everyone that took the time to enter and give me your valued comments and Kirsty your free luxury soaps will be arriving shortly.

Would you like some FREE Organic Soaps?

First of all happy 1st July to everyone!

Now, down to business. I’d like to show you a photo of my Bath Bombs I made to sell at a previous market. I hadn’t made them before so I was quite proud of them really :o) I thought they looked pretty good and they smelt just beautiful.

It was quite sad really, not one of them sold (well, only one to one of my friends, so that didn’t count :o)). Now, I don’t know why they didn’t sell. Was it because:

• They are not pretty enough.
• Are people just plain over the cup cake thing? (that was one comment I overhead a lady say to her friend)
• Don’t people like bath bombs anymore?
• Are they the wrong price? (I was charging $6.00 for unwrapped and $6.50 for gift wrapped)

I’d really like to know! And I’d love to hear your comments!

I’m offering 2 FREE bars of my beautiful, well in my opinion ;o) Handmade All Natural Soaps to give away to whoever can come up with the best explanation for my Bath Bombs not selling.

I’m going to give you a whole month to get your thinking caps on and I’ll let you know who had the best explanation and wins the 2 FREE bars of Organic Soap on the 1st August, 2009.

So tell all your friends everyone! Happy thinking!
